Photo Holiday Locations

Small groups, interesting locations, time to enjoy your photography and opportunities to develop your photographic skills. We visit and stay in communities with approval of the local people, who are happy to welcome us. In return we respect the places we visit, the people we meet and are mindful that photography won't always be possible.  Our local guides and helpers are encouraged to join in and take photographs too - some of whom have a very good eye for a picture. Often 'non-photographer' partners  who like our small group travel philosophy join us too!  Please note that our holidays start and finish on location - which gives flexibility for flights/transfers to and from each destination.

CHINA
A brief stay in Beijing where we walk a lesser known part of the Great Wall before heading off the beaten track into rural China, exploring on foot and by bicycle.

In Rwanda our focused nature, forests and primates photo holiday includes trekking to see the Silverback Mountain Gorillas. Whilst in Ethiopia there's the chance to photograph Mountains, National Parks and stunning landscapes.

The village community we stay with on the Mountain Village Experience in Morocco and the projects we visit  during Community Photo Holiday to Rwanda benefit directly from our holidays.

'Mountain Village Photo Project'  -  Perhaps you've already read about the Mountain Village Photo Project, or even donated one of your old film cameras?   Join the Mountain Village Experience to experience life for yourself in the Berber mountain village. Sometimes there is an opportunity to help with the photo project. A great holiday for 'non photographers' too!

non photographers
Responsible Photography Holidays travel to some very interesting places, so if your 'other half' likes walking, painting, drawing or just wants to relax and enjoy 'just being there', they are very welcome to join us.   non photographers are especially welcome to join the Rwanda Community  Holiday or the Mountain Village Experience - alternatively, why not take a look at our sister website, Responsible Community Tourism Holidays.

Disabled Travellers or clients with special needs
Gail can provide appropriate information for disabled travellers to decide whether a holiday is suitable for your disability or special need, and the team will do their best to look at how we can adapt a holiday or accommodation to help you. Please note that as our holidays tend to be 'off the beaten track' using local accommodation, this is not always possible.

Private or Family Group
Responsible Photography Holidays can organise a programme for your private or family group, camera club or incentive group.  Child discounts available for family rooms. Please contact Gail to discuss and plan.

Corporate info
For information on 'share and care' team building and Corporate Social Responsibility programmes please contact Gail Ward.  'share and care' is a great way to champion team work through your Corporate Social Responsibility policy - involving all the different elements needed in today's business world - from designing, budgeting and presenting a project plan, through to communication, goal-setting, planning, co-operation, creativity and physically carrying out the task.  Alternatively, hold your senior management meeting/conference  in a Rwandan national park and visit some of the local projects. Contact Gail to discuss.  

Best Made Plans
Sometimes even the best made plans go awry, for example, the weather changes and we need to adjust plans or  make a detour.  Our local partners are all small, individual businesses, with lots of passion but who are still learning.  Perhaps somewhere may suddenly close or an internal flight might be delayed, it will, no doubt, just add to your travel experience - but we do suggest being 'reasonably fit, fun and chilled to make the most of Responsible Photography Holidays'.
